Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Türkiye, Dr. Francess Virginia Anderson, has welcomed a second batch of Turkish investors facilitated through the efforts of the Sierra Leone Embassy in Türkiye.

The investors are in Sierra Leone for a series of high-level engagements with key government institutions.

The visit marks another milestone in the growing economic and diplomatic relations between Sierra Leone and Türkiye, reflecting increasing investor confidence in Sierra Leone’s development potential and investment climate.

As part of their engagement, the delegation held meetings with several senior government officials and institutions, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, officials of the National Early Warning and Response Mechanism Centre (NEWRMC), the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Security, the Deputy Director General of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), and the Right Honourable Speaker of Parliament.

Ambassador Francess Virginia Anderson described the engagements as fruitful and reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening cooperation between Sierra Leone and international investors through strategic partnerships that support national development priorities.

She also expressed appreciation to the various ministries, departments, and agencies for their cooperation and warm reception, noting that efforts are underway to ensure the engagements translate into sustainable partnerships, long-term collaboration, and impactful development outcomes for Sierra Leone.
