Mr Omega Sesay, a prominent member of the All People’s Congress (APC), Senior Lecturer at the University of Management and Technology, and PhD candidate at the University of Makeni, has been reported dead under unclear circumstances.
According to reports, Mr Sesay was discovered lifeless in a hotel room in Lungi just hours after the UEFA Champions League final.
Sources say he was seen earlier in the day, including in a widely circulated video showing him dressed in a blue vest and red cap.
Mr Sesay, who was also an aspiring APC District Council Chairman in Port Loko District, was actively involved in community development and public service initiatives.
Authorities have confirmed that investigations are ongoing to establish the cause of death and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
His passing has drawn reactions from colleagues, party members, and community residents, many of whom describe him as a committed public servant.
