The Sierra Leone Bar Association (SLBA) has postponed its Annual General Meeting originally scheduled for June 5 and 6, 2026, according to a notice issued by the association.
The postponement, announced on June 1, 2026, was due to “logistical and other challenges beyond the control of the Directors,” the notice stated.
A new date for the AGM will be communicated shortly.
The decision was made pursuant to Section 185(1) of the Companies Act No. 5 of 2009, as well as Articles 11 and 30(a) of the SLBA’s Memorandum and Articles of Association, and a resolution of members dated February 10 and 11, 2022.
The association said its Treasurer will use the intervening period to verify payments and reconcile with the bank to determine the eligibility of fully paid-up members.
Alfred Paul Juwar, Esq., General Secretary of the SLBA, signed the notice and apologized to members for any inconvenience caused.
