The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has officially disclosed the total revenue generated from the recent international friendly match between Sierra Leone’s Leone Stars and Liberia’s Lone Star.
According to the Association, the match played on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Southern Arena in Bo City generated a total sum of Three Hundred and Thirty-Six Thousand, Two Hundred and Seventy Leones (Le 336,270).
In a statement issued to the public, the SLFA expressed profound gratitude to the Government of Sierra Leone for its continued support, particularly through the Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Authority (NSA), whose collaboration contributed significantly to the successful staging of the match.
The Association extended appreciation to football fans, partners, security personnel, media practitioners, and other stakeholders for their roles in ensuring a smooth and successful event.
Reaffirming its commitment, the SLFA emphasised its dedication to transparency, accountability, and the sustained development of football across Sierra Leone for the benefit of all citizens.
