Sierra Leone’s national football team, Leone Stars, held a final team meeting on Tuesday afternoon as preparations intensified for their international friendly match against Liberia scheduled for later in the day at the SKD Stadium in Monrovia.
The meeting came after the players participated in a relaxation walk through the streets of Monrovia, an activity designed to help the squad remain mentally refreshed and focused ahead of the encounter.
According to information from the team camp, the session was led by Caretaker Coach John Edward Keister and focused on concluding the team’s preparations, including discussions on tactical plans and the overall approach for the friendly match. The meeting formed part of the final arrangements as the Leone Stars seek to build on their recent performances.

Newly appointed Head Coach Didier Gomez Da Rosa was also present during the meeting. Although he observed the proceedings, he took the opportunity to address the players, encouraging them to remain disciplined, united and fully committed to representing Sierra Leone with pride.
The gathering provided the technical team with an opportunity to reinforce key messages ahead of the match while ensuring the players remained focused on the task ahead.

With all preparations now completed, the Leone Stars have turned their full attention to the friendly clash against their Liberian counterparts, with the team expected to take to the field later on Tuesday at the SKD Stadium in Monrovia.
The international friendly is expected to offer both sides an opportunity to assess their squads and tactical systems as they continue preparations for future competitive engagements.
