The National Secretariat of the All Peoples Congress (APC) has officially announced the commencement of Constituency Elections nationwide following the publication of the Constituency Register of Eligible Voters (CREVs).

According to a public notice issued by the Party, the constituency elections are scheduled to begin on 30th June 2026, in line with Article 54(h) of the APC Constitution (2022), after the CREVs were published on the Party’s official website on 8th June 2026.

The Secretariat clarified that the elections will be conducted in all constituencies across the country, except in constituencies where Ward Elections have been challenged through petitions and are currently under review by the Independent Elections Complaints Board (IECB). Elections in the affected constituencies will be held only after the completion of the review process and the issuance of directives by the relevant party authorities.

Describing the exercise as a critical milestone in the APC’s democratic governance framework and institutional strengthening agenda, the National Secretariat called on all party members and stakeholders to conduct themselves responsibly throughout the electoral process.

The Party urged aspirants, delegates, constituency executives, district officials, and members at all levels to work closely with the National Secretariat and the Independent Elections Management Committee (IMC) to ensure that the elections are free, fair, transparent, credible, and peaceful.

“The constituency elections constitute a critical milestone in the Party’s democratic governance framework and broader institutional strengthening process,” the statement noted, emphasizing the need for discipline, maturity, and unwavering commitment to the values and principles of the APC.

The National Secretariat further reaffirmed its commitment to providing the necessary administrative support and oversight to safeguard the integrity of the process and ensure that every eligible party member is given the opportunity to participate in accordance with the APC Constitution.

The announcement marks another significant step in the APC’s ongoing internal electoral process as the party continues preparations aimed at strengthening its structures ahead of future political engagements.
