Security authorities in Kenema District have reportedly arrested a young man accused of attempting to sell his younger brother for money.

According to a viral video seen by Sierraloaded, the suspect allegedly traveled with his younger brother, identified as Gbesseh, from Nyandiama to the Njama Village in Kenema District. Reports claim that the suspect’s intention was to find a buyer for his brother without the latter’s knowledge.

The video alleges that upon arriving in the area, the man instructed Gbesseh to remain at Yankana while he proceeded to Njama village in search of a prospective buyer. The younger brother was reportedly unaware of the purpose of the journey.

Authorities are said to have intercepted the suspect during the course of the alleged transaction. Reports indicate that the arrest was made at the Njama Checkpoint, a major joint-security checkpoint in Kenema District.

Information accompanying the viral video further claims that a commercial motorbike rider identified as “D Game” assisted in alerting authorities, leading to the suspect’s swift apprehension.
