President Julius Maada Bio has met with Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama in Accra to convey the condolences and solidarity of the Government and people of Sierra Leone following the devastating floods that recently affected parts of Ghana.

In a statement, President Bio expressed sympathy to the families and communities impacted by the torrential rains and severe flooding, which caused widespread destruction.

Today in Accra, I met with President John Dramani Mahama to personally convey the deepest sympathies of the Government and people of Sierra Leone to our brothers and sisters in Ghana,” President Bio said.

He noted that the disaster had brought heartbreaking devastation and assured the people of Ghana that Sierra Leone stands with them during this difficult period.

The torrential rains and severe flooding have brought heartbreaking devastation, and our thoughts are with every family affected. Sierra Leone stands firmly with the people of Ghana during this difficult moment,” he added.
