The All People’s Congress (APC) has officially confirmed Alhaji Osman Foday Yansaneh as the party’s National Chairman, following a decision taken by its National Advisory Committee (NAC) in accordance with the party’s constitution.

In a public notice dated 8 July 2026 and signed by APC National Secretary General Lansana Dumbuya, Esq., the party said the decision followed the death of its late National Chairman and was aimed at ensuring continuity in the leadership and administration of the party.

According to the notice, the National Advisory Committee convened on 1 July 2026 to consider matters relating to the continued administration of the APC. The meeting, the statement said, acted in line with Article 47 of the APC Constitution adopted on 7 March 2022.

The party explained that Alhaji Osman Foday Yansaneh, who had been serving as Acting National Chairman, was duly sworn in as the substantive National Chairman during the meeting. It described the move as a constitutional process intended solely to maintain stability and continuity in the party’s leadership.

The APC has consequently informed its members, stakeholders, partners and the general public that Alhaji Osman Foday Yansaneh is now the National Chairman of the party in accordance with the provisions of its constitution.

The announcement formalises Yansaneh’s leadership of the APC as the party continues its administrative and political activities following the passing of its former National Chairman.
