The Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Nabeela Farida Tunis, has held a diplomatic engagement with Jamaica’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, His Excellency Lincoln G. Downer, to discuss opportunities for strengthening cooperation between Sierra Leone and Jamaica.
The meeting, held at Minister Tunis’ office on King Harman Road on Thursday, 9th July, focused on enhancing collaboration in tourism development, cultural exchange, and the preservation of shared historical heritage.
Discussions highlighted the importance of leveraging the historical and cultural connections between the two countries to promote tourism and create opportunities for greater people-to-people exchanges.

Both sides explored areas where Sierra Leone and Jamaica can collaborate, including joint cultural initiatives, tourism promotion, travel, hospitality, and the creative arts.
The meeting concluded with a commitment from both representatives to strengthen bilateral relations and translate diplomatic ties into practical partnerships that support cultural preservation and economic development
