Sierra Leonean professional bodybuilder Edward A. Kargbo has added another major achievement to his growing list of international successes after securing the runner-up position in the Men’s Open division at the IFBB Pro League Empro Classic Spain Pro.
Kargbo delivered an impressive display against some of the world’s best bodybuilders, earning second place in the highly competitive competition and further strengthening his reputation as one of Africa’s rising stars in professional bodybuilding.
Despite competing under the flag of the United Arab Emirates, where he is currently based, Kargbo continues to proudly represent his Sierra Leonean heritage and remains a source of inspiration for fans and aspiring athletes back home and abroad.
The Spain Pro podium finish follows his historic victory at the FLEX Weekend Italy Pro, where he emerged champion in the Men’s Open category and secured qualification for the 2026 Mr. Olympia in Las Vegas — the biggest event on the global bodybuilding calendar.
With his consistent performances, intense dedication, and commitment to excellence, Kargbo has continued to make history on the international stage. As he prepares for his Mr. Olympia appearance, the Sierra Leonean athlete remains focused on competing among the world’s elite while carrying the Green, White and Blue with pride.

His triumph in Milan came just a week after he finished as runner-up to Bonac at the Empro Classic Spain Pro. By overcoming one of the sport’s most decorated veterans, Kargbo further established himself as a rising international force in bodybuilding.
The victory also fulfilled a lifelong dream he shared with his late father — becoming the first bodybuilder from Sierra Leone to qualify for the prestigious Mr Olympia stage.
