Majay Town and Femi Turner communities experienced severe flooding following heavy rainfall during the early hours of Monday, August 3, 2026, causing extensive damage to homes and properties.

The downpour triggered flash floods that swept through both communities, forcing many residents to flee their homes as water levels rose rapidly.

Residents described the rainfall, which reportedly lasted for more than two hours, as the heaviest since the start of the rainy season in May this year.
