The song “Kumba Yonda” is a fun, energetic song that praises natural beauty and expresses love and admiration for women. It tells every beautiful lady to embrace who she is, appreciate the body God has blessed her with, and carry herself with confidence and pride.
In the Kissi dialect, “Kumba” is the traditional name given to the second girl, while “Yondan” means bum-bum, butt, or nyash. The duo, Melony and Pee Star, were inspired to title the song “Kumba Yonda” by the popular belief that girls named Kumba are blessed with naturally beautiful curves.
