Organizers of the Miss Freetown Beauty Pageant have unveiled the 15 finalists who will compete in the 2026 edition, with the grand finale scheduled for November 28 at Chapter One in Freetown.
The organizers say this year’s pageant will raise the standard of beauty competitions in Sierra Leone, with an ambitious programme designed to deliver what they describe as a new benchmark for pageantry in Africa.
“This year, we are raising the standards to an unprecedented level, setting a new benchmark for any pageant in Africa and transforming Chapter One on November 28 into an event filled with excellence, never before seen in Sierra Leone,” the organizers said in a statement.
According to the pageant team, 48 young women applied to participate in this year’s competition. Twenty candidates were shortlisted for auditions before a selection process produced the final 15 contestants who will compete for the Miss Freetown crown.
The finalists are expected to undergo weeks of grooming, advocacy training and community engagement activities ahead of the grand finale.
The 2026 edition is being held under the theme “Girl Power – Aura 4 Aura,” which organizers say focuses on confidence, leadership and community impact.
Beyond beauty and appearance, the competition is expected to highlight intelligence, talent, leadership qualities and social responsibility among the contestants.
With contestants representing communities across Freetown, the competition has already generated interest among pageant enthusiasts, with attention now turning to which contestant will ultimately emerge as the 2026 Miss Freetown.
The November 28 grand finale at Chapter One is expected to feature live musical performances, cultural displays and an enhanced stage production as organizers seek to deliver a pageant experience aligned with international standards.
