Kumba Zainab Brima and Hannah Juana were part of the squad that clinched the Latvian Women’s Premier League title after an extraordinary campaign. Riga FC finished the season with a flawless record of 21 wins from 21 matches, securing 63 points and demonstrating complete dominance in the league.
Striker Kumba Zainab Brima was instrumental in her debut season, making an immediate impact. The former FC Kallon forward contributed 16 goal involvements, finishing among the team’s top scorers. Her form also translated to European competition, where she scored four goals on her UEFA Women’s Champions League debut.
Goalkeeper Hannah Juana, a standout performer for the Sierra Leone national team, also played a key role for the Latvian champions. Juana recently earned global recognition with a record-breaking performance for the Sierra Queens at the 2025 WAFU Women’s Cup, where she was named Player of the Tournament and Best Goalkeeper.
Riga FC’s victory marks a major achievement for both players, who continue to raise the profile of Sierra Leonean women’s football on the international stage.
