Deputy Leader of Government Business II Hon. Saa Emerson Lamina has highlighted key development priorities in Kono District following a week-long assessment of ongoing projects and infrastructure needs.

Lamina said his assessment focused on the Koidu–Guinea Road via Kameindor, the ongoing construction of the Kono University of Science and Technology (KUST), and other issues affecting residents across the district.

According to Lamina, the assessment followed what he described as a comprehensive situation report during his stay in his home district, allowing him to examine major development concerns and ongoing projects.

He said he remains confident that President Julius Maada Bio is committed to addressing Kono’s development priorities and advancing Sierra Leone’s broader development agenda.

Lamina further emphasised the importance of Kono’s development to the country, stating that progress in the district contributes to Sierra Leone’s overall development.

“Kono’s development is Sierra Leone’s development.”

The statement was issued by Hon. Saa Emerson Lamina, Deputy Leader of Government Business II and Member of Parliament for Kono District Block.
