National Medical Supplies Agency (NMSA) Management Information Systems (MIS) Manager Emmanuel Ogundeyi participated in a two-day Convergence Workshop on Health Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI-H) held from September 17–18, 2026, at The Place Resort.
The workshop brought together representatives from government institutions, development partners and other stakeholders to discuss the development of a shared Health Digital Public Infrastructure architecture for Sierra Leone.
Discussions focused on mapping the existing digital health ecosystem, identifying gaps and duplication, and strengthening interoperability, data exchange and collaboration among digital health systems. Key areas included digital health systems, national digital identity, artificial intelligence for health, enterprise architecture and digital health investments.
During the engagement, Ogundeyi highlighted the importance of stronger digital information management and interoperability to ensure timely access to reliable data and support evidence-based decision-making within the health supply chain.
He also emphasised the need to integrate health commodity and supply-chain information systems into the broader national digital health architecture as NMSA continues to strengthen its digital systems and information management capabilities.
The second day focused on partner alignment, implementation requirements, costing, stakeholder roles and potential funding commitments. Participants also worked towards a coordinated implementation framework, including plans to establish a Technical Working Group to support validation and finalisation of the implementation plan.
NMSA said its participation demonstrates the Agency’s commitment to digital transformation, data-driven decision-making and interoperability as key components of a stronger, more efficient and responsive health supply chain in Sierra Leone.
