RAM Kamara FC has added goalkeeper Isatu Sesay to its squad ahead of the 2026 SLFA Women’s Unity Cup, as the club steps up preparations for the October 3 tournament.
Sesay joins RAM Kamara FC from Assentonians Female FC, where she previously played as a goalkeeper. The club said the young shot-stopper has impressed during training since joining the team.
According to the club, Sesay’s confidence, composure, agility and commitment have earned praise as she continues to adapt to her new environment.
Her signing comes as RAM Kamara FC prepares to compete in the Women’s Unity Cup, scheduled for October 3, 2026, according to the Sierra Leone Football Association’s domestic calendar.
The tournament will serve as the curtain-raiser for the 2026/27 women’s football season, with the Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League scheduled to begin on October 10.
RAM Kamara FC enters the competition as the defending Women’s Premier League champion after winning the 2024/25 league title. The SLFA congratulated the club following its title success, praising its “hard work, discipline, and team spirit.”
Sesay’s former club, Assentonians Female FC, was relegated from the Women’s Premier League at the end of the 2025/26 season. The Freetown-based side finished the campaign with nine points from 22 matches and conceded 70 goals.
RAM Kamara FC will be seeking success in the Unity Cup after finishing as runners-up in the inaugural edition. The club lost to Mogbwemo Queens 7–6 on penalties following a 1–1 draw at the Southern Arena in Bo.
The arrival of Sesay adds competition for the goalkeeping position as RAM Kamara FC prepares for the new season. Club officials said the goalkeeper will have an opportunity to establish herself within the squad through continued training and exposure.
