JUST IN: APC Announces Winners of Partial District Executive Elections Nationwide
Sahid Bangura The All People’s Congress (APC), through its Internal Elections Management Committee (IEMC), has announced the official results of its partial District Executive Elections held across several districts in Sierra Leone.
In a declaration issued on Thursday, October 1, 2026, the IEMC said the elections were conducted on Sunday, September 27, 2026, with the exception of Falaba District, where voting took place on Tuesday, September 29.
The results cover districts across the Eastern, North/Eastern, Southern and Western regions.
In the Eastern Region, the elections were conducted in Kailahun and Kenema districts. In the North/Eastern Region, the results cover Falaba and Bombali districts.
The Southern Region includes Bo, Bonthe and Pujehun districts, while the Western Region covers Western Area East and Western Area West districts.
According to the IEMC, candidates who secured the highest number of votes in their respective districts have been declared duly elected as District Executive Officers.
The committee stated that the detailed results are contained in an accompanying results document and that the declared results constitute the official outcomes of the elections, subject to the relevant provisions of the APC Constitution, IEMC Rules and established electoral procedures.
