DIB Speaks on JFK and Chief Justice Courtroom Fracas
APC Flagbearer aspirant, Dr Ibrahim Bangura has called for “restraint, understanding and leniency” in the courtroom fracas between the Chief Justice Komba Kamanda and Former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara.
Bangura in a well measured post on his X handle also inferred that the matter between the Chief Justice and the lead counsel for the constitutional amendment case brought to court by opposition law maker, Hon Abdal Timbo should not overshadow a mater with far reaching ramifications on the state.
“The constitutional issues before the Supreme Court deserve our utmost attention, and I urge all parties to engage the debate with the solemnity it requires” he said.

Dr Ibrahim Bangura’s statement has triggered several reactions on social media with most observers describing it as a timely and measured intervention from a leading opposition politician.
Meanwhile, Mr Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara has remained in custody for what the Chief Justice had described as an inappropriate apology over comment the judge considered to be inappropriate in court.
