Pujehun Paramount Chieftaincy Aspirant Gbonda Debunks Withdrawal Rumours

Emmanuel Desmond Gbessay Gbonda, popularly known as Diplomatic-G, aspirant for the Kpanga Krim Chiefdom in Pujehun Paramount Chieftaincy election, has firmly dismissed allegations circulating across the chiefdom that he intends to step down and throw his support behind another ruling house.

Addressing chiefdom stakeholders, tribal authorities, and supporters, Gbonda described the rumours as “false, baseless, and a deliberate attempt to distract and tarnish his reputation.”

The controversy stems from Gbonda’s official unveiling and presentation ceremony held on October 3, 2026, at the Chiefdom Administrative Barray in Pujehun District. The high-profile event was attended by district and chiefdom stakeholders, tribal authorities, and aspirants from various rival ruling houses.

Shortly after the ceremony, rumours began spreading across the chiefdom suggesting that Gbonda’s candidacy was merely a tactical move to gather a large block of votes before ultimately backing the Tucker family—another prominent ruling house contesting the paramount chieftaincy. Speculation mounted among some residents who questioned his decision to invite members of the Tucker family to his official presentation.

The claims sparked widespread concern among his core base of supporters and tribal authorities who had already rallied behind his vision for the chiefdom.

Setting the record straight, Gbonda clarified that his invitation to the Tucker family was part of a broader gesture of inclusivity rather than a secret political alliance. He emphasised that aspirants from all ruling houses were invited to the October 3 ceremony.

“The reason I invited all aspirants and ruling houses, including the Tucker family, was to promote peace, unity, and togetherness across Kpanga Krim,” Gbonda stated. “We must see ourselves as one people regardless of political contests.”

Gbonda reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to his mandate, reminding voters that he was officially appointed by the Joseph Amadu Gbonda Family to represent their lineage in the chieftaincy race.

“I am in this race to win,” he declared. “The Joseph Amadu Gbonda Family entrusted me with this responsibility, and I will never betray their trust or the confidence of the people of Kpanga Krim.”

Gbonda urged his supporters, tribal authorities, and chiefdom stakeholders to ignore the political propaganda and remain focused as the chiefdom prepares for the election. He assured the electorate that his campaign remains strong, united, and dedicated to serving the best interests of the entire Kpanga Krim Chiefdom.
