The Management of Abacha City FC has filed a formal complaint with the SLFA Appeals Committee against the Premier League Board, pursuant to Article 26.2 of the SLFA Disciplinary Code.

In a press release dated 19th October 2026, the club said the Appeals Committee ordered a replay between Bullom Stars FC and SLIFA FC on 25th August 2026. Both clubs refused to play, and no replay ever took place.

The release disclosed that the Premier League Board relied on false standings purportedly after that replay to relegate Abacha City FC.

The club seek an urgent review and its immediate reinstatement into the Premier League. Its expresses Preparedness in taking the matter to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) if necessary.

Its called on its fans to remain calm and law-abiding.
