Bravely T20 Cricket Premier Brand Ambassador Kei Kamara Inspects Kingtom Oval
Aaron Parker Sierra Leonean football star and Bravely T20 Cricket Premier 2026 Brand Ambassador Kei Ansu Kamara has inspected preparations at the Kingtom Oval in Freetown ahead of the tournament’s opening ceremony.
Kamara visited the venue on Friday, joining officials from Cricket Sierra Leone to assess the outfield, decorations, branding, renovated dressing rooms and newly constructed cricket pitch.
The inspection comes ahead of the official opening of the Bravely T20 Cricket Premier League, scheduled for Saturday, 24 October 2026.
During the visit, Kamara expressed excitement about witnessing the grand opening of the competition, which seeks to promote cricket and strengthen interest in the sport in Sierra Leone.
Kamara is one of Major League Soccer’s all-time leading goalscorers, having netted more than 140 goals while representing 11 different clubs. He also featured for Leone Stars 45 times during his international career.
A former refugee of the Sierra Leone Civil War, Kamara built a successful professional football career in Major League Soccer and Europe. In October 2025, he announced his retirement from international football after 16 years of service to the national team.
His role as Brand Ambassador for the Bravely T20 Cricket Premier reflects his involvement in promoting the competition as Cricket Sierra Leone prepares to welcome teams and supporters for the tournament.
