“The People” is a social commentary track by Sierra Leonean rapper, singer and songwriter Mus B, popularly known as “Kabi Borbor”.

The song addresses the day-to-day socio-economic struggles of the average Sierra Leonean, capturing economic inflation, youth frustration, and public hardship.

Performed primarily in Krio, rapper Mus B features blunt, emotional storytelling that contrasts empty promises of politicians with the reality of working-class citizens.

Produced by Mickey Jay, the record blends heavy Afro-hip-hop beats with a conscious, reflective melody, departing from the high-tempo party anthems that typically dominate the local airwaves.
