Zala Petroleum Honoured as Best Filling Station Operator for Offering Fuel Below Market Prices
Aaron Parker Zala Petroleum Ltd SL has been honoured with the CSO-MEDIA National Award 2026 for its efforts to provide affordable, quality petroleum products to consumers across Sierra Leone.
The company received the Meritorious Service Award on Thursday, October 29, 2026, in recognition of what the presenting organisations described as its commitment to offering fuel at prices below prevailing market rates.
The award was jointly presented by PEACE SALONE and the CSO-Media Consortium for Development Sierra Leone under the category of Best Petroleum Company in Sierra Leone for cheaper and quality fuel.
Zala Petroleum has recently been selling petrol at Le39 per litre and diesel at Le44 per litre, providing consumers with relatively affordable alternatives amid rising transportation and living costs.
The presenting organisations recognised the company’s pricing approach, describing it as a contribution to consumer welfare, economic fairness and access to quality petroleum products at affordable rates.
The recognition highlights Zala Petroleum’s role in the petroleum market, particularly its efforts to ease the financial burden on motorists, commercial drivers and other consumers through competitive fuel prices.
The award was signed by the Chairman of the CSO-Media Consortium for Development Sierra Leone and the Chief Executive Officer of PEACE SALONE.
