The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) has received a donation of essential building materials from Leone Rock Metal Group to support the construction of office accommodation for the Regional Operational Support Division (OSD) in the Freetown West Region.
The donated materials include 50 bags of cement, three aluminium doors and 20 cartons of tiles, which are expected to contribute to the construction and improvement of facilities for OSD personnel operating in the region.
The materials were formally handed over by a delegation from Leone Rock Metal Group, led by the company’s Human Resource Superintendent, Ibrahim P. Kargbo, to Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Sylvester M. N. Koroma.

Speaking during the presentation, Kargbo commended the Sierra Leone Police for its role in maintaining law and order, particularly acknowledging the work of the Freetown West Regional Command. He said the donation forms part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts to support public institutions and contribute to community development.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police and the Executive Management Board, AIG Koroma expressed appreciation to Leone Rock Metal Group for its support towards improving police infrastructure in the region.
He assured the delegation that the materials would be put to proper use and that they would contribute to advancing the construction of the OSD office accommodation.
The facility is expected to provide improved working conditions for OSD personnel and strengthen the operational capacity of the police in the Freetown West Region.
The donation adds to efforts to improve the infrastructure and working environment of the Sierra Leone Police as it continues to carry out its responsibility of maintaining public safety and security.
