Former AYV reporter Tholoma Suma has Raises Concerns over poor electricity distribution in Lungi.
Suma Confirmed recently that some Some areas in Lungi (mainly in Constituency 077) have just received electricity supply in almost a month. Other areas (mainly Constituency 076) are expecting a share tomorrow (28th. May, 2022). Electricity in Lungi is always rationed.
Meanwhile, in WhatsApp groups, many residents have expressed concerns over the way electricity is supplied in Lungi and Sierra Leone as a whole. They believe it is shameful that Sierra Leone cannot provide constant electricity to its citizens.
Lungi is the host to the only international airport in Sierra Leone but sometimes goes for weeks or even months without electricity.
