NPPA Boss Supports 36 Communities in Kenema Ahead of Chief Ibrahim Swaray Trophy
A total of 36 communities participating in the fourth edition of chief Ibrahim Brima Swarray’s Trophy have received football materials, food items, and cash ahead of the tournament slated for 25th November 2022.
The presentation of items was done on Sunday 13th November 2022 at Ngelehun town Barry Nongowa Chiefdom Kenema district.
Each of the communities received a set of jerseys with an inscription of their town, one football, a bag of rice of 25kg, and cash of NLe 200.
Before the symbolic presentation of items to representatives of the 36 communities, coordinators of the tournament admonished participants of this year’s tournament to stay away from all forms of violence during the tournament stating that one of the Key motives of forming the league is to unite communities within the district through s, port, especially football.
Barrister Alice Kornya Sandy who has served as the lead coordinator for the tournament since 2019 to date while, addressed the gathering and disclosed her intention of becoming the next member of Parliament for constituency 016.
She said President Maada Bio is the secret behind the formation of the Ibrahim Brima Swarray’s football Trophy since 2019 and indicated that it will be a continuous process hence President Bio remains President of Sierra Leone.
She called on her people to continue supporting President Bio’s development agenda for the good of all.
