The former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice of Sierra Leone, Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara has called for calm and unity in the main opposition, All People’s Congress (APC).
He made this call on his Twitter page, following reports of disunity and infighting within the APC.
“Reports of violence and personal attacks on members of the APC is unwelcome and must be stopped. The Leadership of the Party is working tirelessly to resolve the impasse. Let all exercise restraint and seek solutions than divisiveness. Together we stand to attain victory or we perish,” Kamara tweeted.
Over the past weeks, there have been reports of confusion and commotion within the APC, as some section of the party are calling for the removal of the current Chairman of the Interim Transitional Governing Committee (ITGC), Alfred Peter Conteh.
