The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has turned down a request made by the Chairman of the All People’s Congress (APC) Interim Transition and Government Committee (ITGC), Alfred Peter Conteh.
The Commission, earlier this afternoon, replied to Conteh’s letter received yesterday seeking clarification of certain court orders.
Conteh was seeking clarification of what he considered ‘conflicting orders’.
“Please be informed that it is outside the purview of our mandate and thus devoid of the functional competence, to proffer clarification,” PPRC said in a reply letter to Conteh.

Earlier last week Conteh, in an interview with the press, said that he sent a complaint to the PPRC with regards to variations of the High Court’s decision to grant the TIIEMC to conduct the party’s Delegate’s Conference.
According to the ITGC Chairman, the Party’s Interim Elections Committee was limited to only conducting lower-level elections.
