CAREER OPPORTUNITIES: Nine Job Openings to Fill in Sierra Leone

A reputable financial institution is seeking to recruit young, vibrant, highly skilled and non- experienced/ experienced candidates for the following positions.

QUALIFICATION(S) / REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have a first degree (Division1 or 2) from a reputable higher institution

Minimum of five (5) credits in WASSCE including Mathematics and English.
Age limit: Not more than 40 years

Practical knowledge and usage of Microsoft Office Suite will be an added advantage.

CREDIT& MARKETING OFFICERS

This position reports to the Head of Marketing and is responsible for ensuring the maximization of the Institution’s business development and relationship management in optimal fashion. This also entails scouting for enterprises requiring financial intermediation and analyzing such needs.

Minimum Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of two years relevant experience

CREDIT ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

This position reports to the Head of Risk Management and Credit Administration and is tasked with ensuring efficient administration and management of the institution’s financial intermediations assets including evaluations, documentations and risk mitigations.

Minimum Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of three years relevant experience

LEGAL MANAGER/ OFFICER

This position reports to the MD/CEO and is responsible for managing the institution’s Legal matters and credit facilities. These include legal searches, contract documentations, advising on securitization of credit facilities, loans and other business matters, attending to court matter and liaising with the institution’s retained Legal firm.

The successful candidate will also be involved with the organization’s board matters and all relevant laws.

Qualification: The successful candidate must have a degree (Division1 or 2) in Law from a reputable higher institution and relevant qualification from Sierra Leone Law School. A minimum of five (5) credits in WASSCE including English.

Minimum Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of four years Sierra Leone Post Call to Bar relevant experience

INTERNAL CONTROL& AUDIT OFFICER

This position reports to the Head of Internal Control & Audit and is responsible for monitoring all activities, plans, policies and efforts of the institution. The job include auditing, risk analysis and mitigation, preventive control measures, quality assurance, adherence to laws and policies. The successful candidate will be responsible for various audit areas.

Qualification: The successful candidate must have a first degree (Division1 or 2) in Accounting or a related field from a reputable higher institution. Professional qualifications will be an added advantage.

Minimum Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of two years experience

FUNDS TRANSFER OFFICERS

This position reports to the Deputy Country Head of Operations and is responsible for managing the institution’s diverse payments and accounts. These include reconciliations and preparation of requisite reports of various accounts.

Minimum Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of two years relevant experience

HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

This position reports to the Head of Human Resources and is responsible for managing all Human Capital, Strategic development and management including staff affairs. These include staff selection and recruitment, development and training, also assist in Policy development and documentations.

Minimum Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of two years relevant experience.

A degree or qualification in Human Resources Management will be an added advantage.

COMPLIANCE OFFICER

This position reports to the Head of Compliance and is responsible for daily Anti-Money Laundering, compliance review and Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews and enquiries on customer’s accounts. Others include; submission of regulatory reports on currency transactions, suspicious transactions and compliance review to Financial Intelligence Unit plus other regulatory agencies.

Minimum Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of two years relevant experience

E-BUSINESS OFFICER

This position reports to the Head of Marketing and partially to the Head of Information Technology and is responsible for all electronic business development activities and also Point of Sale transactions.

Qualification: The successful candidate must have a first degree (Division1 or 2) in business related field, Basic Computer Science or Data Sciences courses from a reputable higher institution

Minimum Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of two years relevant experience

CASH& TELLER OFFICER

This position reports to the Deputy Country Head of Operations and is responsible for Tellering Services, Cash Management and other basic banking over the counter services.

Minimum Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of two years relevant experience
