The Ambassador Extra-ordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Jalloh today signed the book of condolence in respect of the passing away of His Highness, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Expressing his grief to the Deputy Ambassador of UAE in Saudi Arabia and Embassy staff before signing the book of condolence, Ambassador Jalloh described the demise of the UAE President as a big loss to the UAE and the world at large.

“I am here on behalf of His Excellency, President Dr, Julius Maada Bio, the Government and people of Sierra Leone to express our sympathy and convey our heartfelt and sincere condolences to the government and people of the United Arab Emirates for this great loss”, Ambassador Jalloh said.

Ambassador Jalloh described the late President as a great leader who built on the foundations of his late father to develop the UAE. He said Sheikh Khalifa would be remembered by the Government and people of Sierra Leone for his outstanding legacy in promoting and deepening the existing bilateral relations between the Republic of Sierra Leone and the UAE.

Ambassador Jalloh then congratulated the newly elected President of UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan wishing him success and adding that the Government and people of the Republic of Sierra Leone are looking forward to working with him and his Government towards further strengthening the bilateral ties between the two nations.
