Sierra Leonean National Dies in Turkish Prison
Deborah Sorie Hajie Diamond Kalokoh, a Sierra Leonean national, has died in a prison in Turkey, according to sources familiar with the incident.
News of his death spread on social media, with friends and family expressing their condolences.
Kalokoh reportedly passed away on Monday, January 17, 2024, after being arrested and detained. The circumstances surrounding his arrest and his death in custody remain unclear.
“I felt so bad coz he was heading to my house 🏠 before he got arrested and all of a sudden he go to prison i felt so bad hearing the news rest well hajie maruff till we meet again fine player 😭😭😭🙏🙏,” wrote OG Richy Palms, a close friend of Kalokoh, on Facebook.
