The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) English Language paper has been rescheduled following reports of a question paper leakage.
The exam was originally set for 8:00 a.m. today but has now been moved to 1:00 p.m. the same day.
The decision came after authorities received information that the paper had been compromised ahead of the morning sitting.
Candidates have been advised to remain calm and stay within their school compounds until the new exam time.
One candidate at an examination centre told this reporter that her principal announced receiving a message about the postponement.
The Western Area Secretary of WAEC, Nafieu Garner, confirmed the development in a message to supervisors and invigilators, instructing them to keep pupils on standby until question papers become available.
No further official statement has been issued on the circumstances of the alleged leak.
