The soon to start big sister Salone empowerment show looks to promote inclusion. In this year’s selection of the roommates, big sister selects not only young and beautiful women but includes persons with albinism and disables. This year’s show seeks to provide opportunities for people with varied cultural identities and backgrounds as well as giving viewers the opportunity to see people of different form and others like themselves on the big or small screen.

This takes us to the 11th roommate for this year’s bestyz season. The 11th roommate for this season three is a twenty-three years old disable named Aminata Bangura, who is currently a student attempting the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Aminata was born in Rokupr Town in Kambia District, the Northern province of Sierra Leone. She is a beautiful young girl with a petite figure. She was never a disable until she met with an accident on the 22 June 2017 and lost both her legs on the spot. Since then, she became a disable and could only use a wheelchair to support her move around. For the past four years she has been stuck in that wheelchair.

She was living together with her grandmother who used to take very good care of her until she passed away. Ever since her grandma died, she has been taking care of herself. In order to take care of herself, she took up different jobs. Despite her condition, she had to do hair dressing, cooking and selling in an eatery and petty trading to take care of her needs. She had been surviving from what she earns from those jobs and from what she receives from few well-wishers.

Aminata is the friendly type; she likes to interact with people and in her quiet moments, she loves being on social media to connect with friends and have fun. Her hobbies are dancing, singing, cooking and helping people in good ways.
