Sierra Leonean artiste, Joseph Conteh commonly known as Blazer was arrested at Pamlap (Guinea – Sierra Leone) border while trying to bypass the checkpoint with fake gold.

Guinea National Television RTG reported that, Blazer was caught with 10 Bullions of fake gold on 30th November, 2021 while trying to cross the border of Guinea. The substance was said to be a mixture of copper, zinc, iron and gold alloy made to look like gold plaited.

After arresting him, the singer produced documents like proforma invoice from Tuton SL Ltd dated 29th December, 2021 and another document from National Mineral Agency from the Ministry of Mines and Mineral Resources dated 22nd December, 2021. After a close inspection, the documents were said to be fake.

Blazer is presently in the hands of Guinea security forces going through investigation. However, authorities at the border have warned others to desist from such as they are on the alert.
