Sierra Leonean R n B sensation Rahim d wizard, has in an exclusive interview with precious Anabel talked about his journey, Music and challenges in the music industry.

Ibrahim Abubakarr Barrie popularly known as Rahim said the name Rahim comes from his Ibrahim.

Rahim said he wanted to play football but the music was actually a calling and he is now doing music because he is motivated by people and not be become popular.

Rahim disclosed that he started his music journey in 2009 when he made an appearance at the then Celtel Star Search and went on to reach the semis along with Eddie (kontri Boss).

On his journey, Rahim also disclosed that he started with Lion Mountain Studio and later meet with Lurd Mo, who also happen to be his classmate during their time at the prince of wales school

About His fans, Rahim said he loves his fans because when someone supports you, in return u must support them also

“I don’t chase hit songs, but produce songs that people will listen to and fall in love with,” he said

Adding that he can do any type that will blow big, but he loves to do songs that are typical of Rahim the wizard’s songs, adding that he does not follow the flow but takes his time to do classic songs that can be played over a long time

“Sierra Leoneans don’t love things that are too good or perfect, so I stick to being Rahim and be consistent in what I’m doing” he states

About his upcoming Album, Rahim Disclosed that his upcoming Album will be the best Album he has done so far, ” A very constructive Album” he said. Wherein he worked with big producers in Sierra Leone and Nigeria

“The Album is a classic Album and not just like any other Sierra Leonean Album” he states

On his upcoming show, Rahim also disclosed that a host of sierra Leonean Artists have been lined up to support him, and he is ready to put up a classic.

On challenges, Rahim states that investment in the music industry is the biggest challenge Artists are facing, as there is a lot of talent just laying down with no one to invest in them. He also states that people should not expect struggling Sierra Leonean Artists to be performing at the same level as other artists in Africa that spend thousands of dollars in their act but should accept them for who they are and what they are capable of doing and render a hand of help where they can

He called on investors to support Artists and the music industry so that artists can be able to brand themself well and push the name of Sierra Leone to the outside world.
