The winner of House of Stars Season 3, King MD Bassey, has responded to public concerns regarding the condition of the prizes awarded to contestants, stating that his own prizes are satisfactory.
Speaking on Liberty Online TV, Bassey clarified that the organisers did not promise brand-new items. According to him, the agreement was for a house, cash, and a car, without any specification that the car would be brand new.
“They didn’t promise a brand-new car. They said a house, cash, and a car,” he said.
Bassey maintained that the vehicle he received, a Range Rover, is in good condition. He noted that while he could not speak for other recipients, he was satisfied with his own car.
“My car is a very good one. I don’t know about others, but mine is a Range Rover, and it is in good condition,” he added.
On the issue of the house, Bassey described it as “fine,” dismissing criticisms surrounding its state.
He further assured the public that he stands by his statements and will not retract them. The reality TV star also commended the organiser, Valentine King, acknowledging the challenges involved in providing such prizes.
“He is trying. It is expensive to build a house and buy a car,” Bassey said.
