Africa Young Voices (AYV), the force behind the highly popular Housemates Salone Reality TV Show, and its prime sponsor, Africell Sierra Leone, are set to reveal the commencement date for the highly anticipated fourth season of the show.
While the official launch date remains under wraps, reports indicate that the sale of audition forms is set to begin shortly, signaling the imminent return of the reality TV phenomenon.
Building on the success of past seasons “filled with drama, twists, turns, gossips, and serious moments,” where contestants lived under constant camera surveillance, this upcoming season promises to deliver even more. A new cohort of “carefully selected housemates” will inhabit the “Chief’s house,” guaranteeing a fresh wave of “unending dramas.”
Viewers can once again look forward to the return of “brain teasers, challenging tasks, nail-biting nominations and live evictions.” The public’s crucial role in determining the winner through voting will also continue, with the ultimate victor taking home a life-changing grand prize.
The Chief Executive Officer of Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media Empire, Ambassador Navo, announced during the finals of Season 3 that the Season 4 winner will be awarded a staggering $50,000, an amount equivalent to Le 500,000,000 (five hundred million old Leones) or Le 500,000 (five hundred thousand new Leones).
This significant increase more than doubles the grand prize of the previous season, underscoring the growing scale and success of Housemates Salone. The show was initially announced to return for its fourth season in 2023 with this doubled prize.
Housemates Salone, a collaborative production by Africell and AYV TV, has consistently captivated audiences. The show typically features around 22 young men and women living in an isolated house for approximately two months, with their every move broadcast live across various platforms including broadcast TV, radio, online streaming, YouTube, and DsTV, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Fans in Sierra Leone have the opportunity to vote for their favorite housemates via Afrimoney. International viewers can cast their votes through the official websites, www.housematessl.com or www.africell.sl.
The show’s first season, held from February to April 14, 2019, saw Kenchine Palmer emerge as the grand prize winner, receiving Le 100 million and a trip to London. Monica Yeanie Ghaliwa was the first runner-up, taking home Le 50 million.
Saraih Conteh Robert was the victor of Season 2, securing a grand prize of Le 250 million and a two-week round trip to Dubai. Saraih made history as the first-ever female winner of the show in the final held on December 13, 2020.
Most recently, Julianna Conteh, popularly known as ‘Julie Tombo,’ was crowned the winner of Housemates Salone Season 3, themed “The Game get Yagba.” Julie garnered the highest number of votes among the six finalists, who included Almon Sall, George Taylor (aka Dancing Chef), Lolo Simeon, Paul Mbayo, and Alice Kanja.
Julie Tombo’s Season 3 victory earned her Le 250 million and a round trip to Dubai.
