The office of the Ambassador of Entertainment and Investment, which is headed by the Ambassador of Entertainment Amara Denis Turay, popularly known as Kao Denero in Collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism have recently released a public notice with regards to the Back to My Root festival  that was scheduled to have taken place on the 7th May, 2022, has being rescheduled to take place around December this year.

From the office of the Ambassador, the public notice reads:

“This is to inform the general public, all music lovers and the entire membership of the Entertainment industry that the proposed BACK TO MY ROOT FESTIVAL, which was supposed to be held at Tokeh Beach on the 7th May, 2022 has been officially postponed to a later date in December, 2022. The later date will be communicated in due course.


The Ambassador of Entertainment and Investment and His team are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience the postponement of the said Event might have caused. We want the public to know that one of the reason for postponement of the festival is the unpredictable climate, a fear expressed by majority of our international partners.

We further want to inform you all that the Kenyan International Rap Star, Khaligraph Jones and all of our other international together with our impeccable Sierra Leonean Entertainment industry partners are still very very committed to seeing this Festival is being organized at any given time by the OFFICE OF THE AMBASSADOR OF ENTERTAINMENT AND INVESTMENT in Collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism.
