Lachaeveh Davies, the reigning Miss Sierra Leone, returned to Freetown on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, following her participation in the Miss World 2025 pageant in Hyderabad, India.
She arrived via sea coach around 5:00 PM.
Davies, 23, who represented Western Area Rural and was crowned Miss Sierra Leone 2025, made history during her Miss World tenure. She became the first Sierra Leonean to reach the Top 8 finalists in the pageant’s “Beauty with a Purpose” project.
Her “Beauty With a Purpose” initiative, dubbed the “Dynamo Project,” focused on supporting farmers through sustainable farming methods, a project that earned her a spot among the top contenders.
Her achievement is being hailed as a significant moment of pride for both Davies personally and for Sierra Leone, underscoring the nation’s increasing recognition in international pageantry.
Miss Sierra Leone Limited extended a warm welcome to Davies upon her return and expressed gratitude to India for its hospitality during the pageant.
