Sierra Leone’s renowned rapper, Alhaji Amadu Bah alias Boss La has claimed that he has produced more hit songs than any other rapper in the country, including both established and emerging artists.

During a television interview at AfriRadio, Boss La stated, “All your best artists in Sierra Leone, both the old ones and the new ones, nobody has hit songs more than me in Sierra Leone.”

He challenged listeners to name any artist with a comparable number of hit songs, emphasizing his belief in his musical dominance.

While acknowledging the talent of fellow artist, Famous, Boss La clarified, “They do not have hit songs more than me.” This statement, however, did not go unnoticed, as it stirred sparks reactions among fans and fellow musicians.

By contrast, on the 1st of April, 2025, Boss La took to his Social Media page commending one of Sierra Leoneans finest artists, K. Man, poising him as the artist with the most hit songs and classic album in Sierra Leone.

He remarked, “How can you compare other artists to K. Man when it comes to hit songs? Nobody has hit songs and classic albums in Sierra Leone as compared to K. Man.”

That praise for K. Man contrasts sharply with his contending claims, prompting questions about the rapper’s consistency and the validity of his assertions.

The remarks made by Boss La during the interview have sparked a wave of controversy, leading to intense discussions among fans. Many have taken to social media to voice their opinions, with some labeling Boss La’s claims as exaggerated or unfounded.
