Saio the Comedian and Kindo Armani and Pitwizzy are now among eight artists that are Orange Money Brand Ambassadors after a contract was signed on Wednesday 15th June, 2022 at the company’s headquarters in Freetown. The ambassadors are considered to be brand influencers, performing artists, comedians, tiktokers among others said to be household names in Sierra Leone.

They are amazing characters who have carved and excelled in their display of talents. The new contract, which is first, since the arrival of Orange Money is geared towards increasing brand recognition in order to broaden the customer base of the telecommunications company. Fans of the artists as well as media practitioners graced the signing ceremony.

The contract is also considered as a new and beneficial relationship for the two sides: the artists will promote Orange Money activities while they get support from the company.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Orange Money, David Mansaray, in his statement pointed out that his vision is to see that the services provided by the entity reaches every part of the country and benefit many people.

“We have shifted from billboards to artists to advertise Orange Money services to the people of Sierra Leone,” he underscored.

The Orange Money CEO who is an ardent follower of the artists is very optimistic that dividends will be realized under the new partnership. “The ambassadors will promote Orange Money anywhere they are,” he expressed hope.

One of the artists, in registering her appreciation for Orange Sierra Leone stated that the company is ready to improve Sierra Leone’s entertainment industry.

She as well gave assurance of the artists’ commitment to take Orange Money to every nook and cranny in the country. “We will help to push the brand as the company supports them,” she maintained.

During the programme, she started the campaign right there by calling on all Sierra Leoneans to go in for Orange Money service as a way of supporting the company.

It is no gainsaying that Orange Money has gained a foothold in Sierra Leone owing to its quick and reliable service.

Many, including corporate bodies are now loyal Orange Money subscribers. It could be recalled that last year various city and district councils signed memoranda of understanding for the collection of taxes via Orange Money and that is on-going.

Regardless of those gains, complacency is however ruled out as the company seeks to attract more customers.
