As the Music Industry battles for survival amongst others in Africa and the world at large, Hajaneh Entertainment signed and multi award-winning artiste Rahim D Wezard -RARA has on his Facebook page opined the truth to Sierra Leone Music Industry.

With the Sierra Leone music Industry highly underrated in Africa, it undoubtedly true that there has been massive improvements over the years, though it is also obvious that there are lots of work to be be done to compete the west world music.

As the struggle to put food on the table continues in our different works of life, Rahim D Wezard has today disclosed that the Sierra Leone Music Industry he belongs does not bring income to the artiste. This he added that, the payment of Sierra Leone music is in the hands of the Almighty if the artiste chose to put seriousness in his music.

It is certain that many artistes have come and gone in the music industry who if asked now can barely make a living despite their fame and money over the years while singing. There are others who had gained the attention of fans but in few years or so, they vanished.

Comparing Sierra Leone artiste to other African countries like Nigeria, we noticed that Nigerian artistes make more money than Sierra Leone. This according to many were as a result of prioritizing the entertainment industry of the country.

Unlike Sierra Leone, which is a small but mighty in its own way, There are musicians who hardly make a living from their music career. This Rahim D Wezard took to Facebook page after observing the industry opined the truth to the music industry.

On his Facebook page he posted:

Salone music nor get money but if you serious e go change you life on God ..just put seriousness in am.”

The celebrity has been in the industry for almost a decade and from the look of things has decided to get his pay for the good music he produces from the Almighty as he believes the industry can not provide to its acts.

Despite his opinion over his observation into the music industry, there is true that many have grown and are Independent artistes in Sierra Leone. The examples of Amb. Kao Denero, Emmerson Bockarie, Manzu etc are living testimonies that their music really pays them well. For others, they are in the category where Rahim D Wezard has categorised.
