Popular Sierra Leonean rapper Alhaji Amadu Bah, better known as Boss LA has been denied bail today and the matter adjourned to Wednesday 26th October 2022.

Boss LA, the controversial rapper, was recently rushed to the Connaught Hospital in Freetown on Tuesday, October 18th, after being referred by the 34 Military Hospital at Wilberforce, Freetown.

The ill-looking Boss LA had collapsed in court in one of his recent appearances while standing trial for alleged robbery with violence, which forced Justice Adrian Fischer to order the Prison Officers to provide him with immediate medical attention. He was then rushed to the 34 Military Hospital where he spent the night, but referred to the Connaught Hospital this morning for better medical attention, due to the inefficient or lack of better medical equipment.
His family wanted to take him to a private hospital, but it was declined.

The rapper has been in detention since June 12 this year, for alleged robbery with violence. His dreadlocks were shaved. He has been struggling with his health lately, to the point that the Medical Officer of the Correctional Centre had to release a medical report to the court for their attention.

LAJ’s lawyers applied for bail on the grounds of his deteriorating health condition, unfortunately, that has not been granted by Justice Adrian Fischer.

There have been several appeals from members of the Sierra Leone entertainment industry for Boss LA to be shown clemency. However, the prerogative is left with the court to determine whether bail is to be granted or not.
