Sierra Leoneans on social media have questioned the impact of reality tv shows as for the past five years all the winners of the two big reality tv shows in Sierra Leone has being quiet without not much going on.

In a post on social media, some sierra Leoneans are asking the question about what is the impact of these reality tv shows on the life of especially the winners

One post reads;
For the past few years since the reality TV show was introduced by Zainab Sheriff and AYV TV. In Sierra Leone, 6 people in total won the past shows.

China Nicky: Big Sister show
Kenchi Palmer: housemates
Majo Katie Bona: Big Sister show
Sarah Conteh Robert: housemates
Joyce Turner: Big Sister
Julie Tombo: housemates

Can somebody tell me the impact the winners have created in our society?

China Nicky dae languish
Kenchi Palmer na 2 by 4 musician
Majo Bona Williams na married woman right now
Sarah Conteh Robert always fet for man
Joyce na ghost is always in the dark
Julie Tombo all tem cuss people na FB

For sure every winner of a reality tv show is expected to create an impact in society with the fame he or she may have gathered or even use the platform for massive transformation in his or her life

Even if a contestant doesn’t win, just being in a reality competition can open doors to exciting careers

Being in a reality competition isn’t all fun and games. Long workdays, communication blackouts, loss of privacy, and more can push contestants to their emotional breaking points.

But for those who stick it out (and even those who lose early, but manage to make themselves memorable), the payoffs can be handsome. At the very least, appearing in a reality competition can provide new career opportunities

We see real people performing daredevil stunts or showcasing their skills. Viewers come to know about them and appreciate their performance. In addition, reality TV stars become very popular within a very short period. They do not need any Godfather to become successful in the show biz but to use their talent to achieve success.

Unlike Sierra Leone’s Reality, TV has given so many celebrities that have become big stars in their rights. It was not possible in the past but now anybody can shoot into fame within a very short period.

One is expecting winners or stars of reality tv shows to use the platform and show the impact of such programs in their lives
