Stunt Man, the Eclectic Theatre Music dancehall artiste, songwriter, music producer, and Chairman of the Provincial Voices of Sierra Leone has announced to NewsFeed Sierra Leone that he will perform his newly released song “Victory” at the Makeni Music Festival Volume 1.
The festival is set to take place on May 6th, 2023, ahead of Sierra Leone’s 62nd Independence Celebration.
Stunt Man’s “Victory” song, which he released in March, educates eligible voters on their political rights and encourages them to cast their vote wisely in the upcoming elections for the common good. This will be the first time the song will be performed live.
Stunt Man is one of thirteen acts that will perform at the City Plaza during the weekend for NLe 15k, thanks to the Brothers and Sisters of Makeni.
Stunt Man’s decision to perform “Victory” is motivated by his desire to promote peaceful and free-fair elections.
The event aims to provide a platform for interaction based on the belief that the electioneering period in the country should not be a tool for division.
Stunt Man has received several awards, including Best Dancehall Artiste and Best Collaboration Song, both of which he won at the National Entertainment Awards (NEA) in 2021.
He is also the first and only provincial-based act to win two gongs at one night of the NEA. Additionally, he was the first-ever artiste in Makeni to stage a live band album launch.
