Health Ministry Validates The Revised One Health Governance Manual
Mohamed Aruna The Ministry of Health (MOH) with support from the Breakthrough Action and Regional Program Support to Pandemic Prevention in ECOWAS (RSPPP) has validated the revised one health Governance Manual.
According to the Ministry, the manual will serve as a comprehensive guide for implementing a unified approach that encompasses human, animal, and environmental health to effectively combat future epidemics and pandemics in the country.
It was also noted that, it will provide clear guidelines and protocols for decision-making, resource allocation, and risk assessment to ensure a swift and coordinated response in times of crisis.
Other partners in actualization of the process include, the World Health Organization (WHO) Sierra Leone, UNICEF Sierra Leone, CDC Global, UNICEF, World Health Organization African Region,Corona Fet Na We All Fet, Afenet Sierra Leone, Africa CDC, Mercy Ships and USAid
