Reports in Kenema have indicated that three men all residing at 74 Dama road in Kenema have been declared missing by the police.
According to reports the men left to negotiate the purchase of Land on the 13th of February 2023.
According to the Report Land vendor, Vandi Kallon had discussions over the purchase of a piece of land around the Pujehun community axis with one Sheku Ballay on February 12, 2023
Report further reveals that the next day Ballay was at the house of the vendor at around 6:30 am and was later joined by his two sons Ibrahim Kallon and Daoja Kallon to accompany him to the proposed land site.
The trio then left for the site where the said land was to be purchased and since then none of the family members have returned, seen, or heard of.
The main suspect Sheku Ballay is said to be in police custody while another Momodu Hotagua became the latest to be apprehended and are both helping police in their investigations.
According to the report,t there has been an existing land dispute between two land-owning families of Ngumbulango and Gbao, and the matter that had lasted long in the courts was decided in favor of the former.
All previous landowners who transacted with the Gbao family and had buildings came under pressure to renegotiate with their new landlords much to their exasperation. It has to be of note that the missing man and father of the other two, Vandi Kallon is the vendor for the Ngumbulango land-owning family.
Investigations continue.
