A potentially catastrophic road accident was narrowly averted today, March 24th, 2024 at the West Street junction opposite Christ Church Pademba road in Freetown.
An apparently rickety Poda Poda, lost its brakes while descending from Circular Road. The out-of-control vehicle careened into a 4×4 jeep with alarming force, resulting in a gruesome collision.
Eyewitnesses described the harrowing scene as the Poda Poda hurtled downhill, its brakes screeching in vain against the steep gradient. Despite the efforts of the driver to regain control, the vehicle continued its dangerous descent, leaving bystanders in dread anticipation of an inevitable catastrophe.
The collision, when it occurred, was met with shock and horror. The impact between the Poda Poda and the 4×4 jeep was severe, causing extensive damage to both vehicles. Debris littered the intersection as the sound of metal crunching against metal echoed through the air. Miraculously, amidst the chaos and destruction, there were no reported fatalities.

Hmmm….. D Jargons are scaring than the accident it self. The description of the impact and no fatalities tells me that reports should not be exaggerated in this fashion or show.
